Born in Birmingham to a French mum and a British dad, Sophie is completely bilingual in French/English. Having grown up in the United-States, UK and France she studied acting at the Conservatoire National in Bordeaux and went on to spend 2 years at the Actors Center in London.
Currently, Sophie works with several local theatre companies in Bordeaux. Since 2012 she has been in starring roles in more than 20 comedies and dramas at the Théâtre des Salinières. Also in Bordeaux she is associated with the children’s theatre company Le Soleil dans la Nuit, with which she appeared in 7 children’s shows (2 which she co-wrote and directed – ‘Le Fric-Frac so British’ and ‘ A Table!’) that continue to be staged across south west France. In London, Sophie features in Shakespeare and contemporary plays with Rep:Unlocked. In enterprises, she performs forum theatre with the Théâtre sur Mesure.
Outside the theatre, she often does voice over work in radio adverts and other media, as well as being a voice over coach. She is the French and British voice for different learning apps and works regularly for agencies in Bordeaux.
Sophie enjoys working in different cultures, mediums and languages.
